WATER GIVE US LIFE

COMUNIDADES MARGINADAS EN COMUNIDADES MARGINADAS DE OAXACA PIDEN NUESTRO APOYO

Many communities lack access to water for their families and have to travel long distances to fetch water. Women have to wash clothes in rivers outside their communities, leading to conflicts in other localities and risking their lives. Without infrastructure to harvest rainwater, it is wasted and not utilized, leaving families with the need to search for water for themselves, their animals, and their fields.

WE NEED YOU TO JOIN FORCES AND SUPPORT THEM IN WATER SUPPLY AND CONSERVATION

WHAT DO WE DO TO HELP THEM?

Many marginalized communities in the Mixteca Region and in the state of Oaxaca do not have access to clean water, and they require the construction of infrastructure to capture, store, and distribute rainwater. Costly preliminary studies are needed to determine the appropriate water capture methods based on the specific conditions of each locality. Drought is becoming increasingly prevalent, directly affecting agricultural fields, making it crucial to take action to harness rainwater and implement measures for proper water conservation and management.

We provide support for conducting the necessary studies to determine the feasibility of water capture in the community.

We accompany the community in the process of fundraising and resource management to secure investment for the necessary infrastructure for water supply.

We provide support in the implementation of infrastructure, ensuring its proper functioning.

We provide training and capacity building in the proper management of water resources.
